About this arrangement
As a flute student in Berlin in the 1970s one of the most frequent pieces of advice our teacher James Galway gave us was “listen to the great singers”. Now that we have Spotify, YouTube and so on, it is easy to find sublime performances of these arias.
Playing arias on the flute is one of the most direct and inspiring ways to improve our tone, breathing and phrasing.
